James Attlee’s publishing experience has included working in the fields of commissioning, developmental editing, international sales and rights, electronic publishing, new media, consultancy, marketing and publicity.
His particular specialisms have been non-fiction, visual arts and museum publishing, and he has worked with many of the world’s leading art publishers and art institutions. For 10 years he was Sales and Rights Director at Tate Publishing in London. For four years he was editor at large (UK) for the University of Chicago Press. He has provided strategic advice, consultancy and editorial services for publishers and arts organisations across the world and currently provides non-fiction developmental editing services for publishers on a freelance basis.
