James Attlee’s publishing experience has included working in the fields of commissioning, international sales and rights, electronic publishing and new media, consultancy, marketing and publicity.
His particular specialisms have been in non-fiction, visual arts and museum publishing, and he has worked with many of the world’s leading art publishers and art institutions, including 10 years spent as Sales and Rights Director at Tate Publishing in London. For four years he was editor at large (UK) for the University of Chicago Press. He currently sits on the board of Whitechapel Ventures at the Whitechapel Gallery. He has provided strategic advice, consultancy and editorial services for publishers and arts organisations across the world.
