Dark Skies in Wigtown

I will be talking about Nocturne at The Wigtown Book Festival on 30 September at 6.00pm in the County Buildings, Main Hall. I am looking forward to visiting the area for several reasons: first, Wigtown is Scotland’s National Book Town, which means it is stuffed with bookshops, which is a good and increasingly rare thing. Then this year it was nominated as ‘Scotland’s most creative small town’. Finally it is only just down the road from the Galloway Forest Park, the first Dark Skies Park in the UK and one of only four with such a designation in the western world. This year the Festival has a Dark Skies theme. The 30th of September is Full Moon.
